UPI-AGRO exports heifers

UPI-AGRO Company started export of heifers of Holstein Friesian breed of American selection. In September 2019 the first shipment of 97 heads of cattle sent to Uzbekistan. At the same time several lots were sold on domestic market - to the enterprises in Donetsk and Poltava regions.

Due to Maxim Armashov, Director of Livestock Breeding Department of UPI-AGRO, the Company is able to offer to foreign and domestic buyers up to 600 heifers a year.

 “Holstein Friesian breed of American selection today is the most productive dairy breed in the world. We cooperate with the world leaders in cattle genetics such as World Wide Sires and Alta Genetics and use genetic material of the superior bulls from the world Top-100 of Interbull list.

We sell heifers in Ukraine and look for possibilities to expand our export destinations. Negotiations on ongoing export to Uzbekistan are currently going on. Next year we plant to sell up to 600 heads of cattle”, Maxim Armashov said.

To remind, the cattle herd of UPI-AGRO numbers 6 600 heads, including 3 000 milk cows. In 2018 average productivity per cow amounted 8 891 kg, the estimation for 2019 is 9 000 + kg.
